Every year\, we strive to provide each child with a backpack filled with school supplies\, new sock &\, underwear\, shoes\, full-size hygiene items (locker kits)\, and snacks for the first week of school. \nA donation of $1\,000 can provide: \n\nLocker kits (shampoo\, deodorant\, body wash\, toothpaste\, and a toothbrush) for 100 students\, or\n50 backpacks filled with school supplies\, or\n5 pair of underwear and socks for 50 students\n\nEvery backpack filled\, every pair of new shoes distributed\, eases the burden on a family and helps a child walk into their first day of school feeling confident and prepared. \nIf you’re interested in contributing or have any questions\, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly. DESCRIPTION:Community Assistance Center (CAC) invites you to help us Strike Out Hunger with our annual Bowling Tournament benefiting CAC’s Client Choice Food Pantry to be held on July 24th\, 2025 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Main Event in Shenandoah. \n  \nProceeds from this friendly competition support the nutritional needs of our neighbors across Montgomery County. \nA critical focus for Community Assistance Center (CAC)\, in our efforts to eliminate food insecurity in our community\, is the CAC Client Choice Food Pantry\, which allows clients the opportunity to choose their own food to fit their personal preferences and special dietary needs\, and provides a sense of dignity and respect\, all while reducing waste. \nOther food assistance services provided by CAC include Pop Up Produce Markets\, Senior Grocery Delivery\, CAC’s Summer Stock kids’ food pantry program\, and holiday meal\ndistributions. All food pantry assistance services are provided at no cost to our neighbors in need. On average\, Community Assistance Center provides over one million pounds of much needed food assistance services each year. \nCAC’s programs are funded by companies and individuals just like you who understand the financial commitment required to provide our neighbors and community the supportive services necessary to thrive. \nYour generous support has a direct impact on the lives of our neighbors and the health of our community as a whole. \nJoin us in strengthening Montgomery County one neighbor at a time.

DESCRIPTION:On October 5th we hosted our 17th annual Duck Race where we sent 10\,000 ducks down a lazy river at Margaritaville on Lake Conroe. \nProceeds from this ducky event help CAC provide programs and supportive services for our neighbors in need of the most basic life necessities\, such as food\, clothing\, emergency shelter\, utility assistance\, rent/mortgage assistance and disaster recovery. \n     \n

DESCRIPTION:2024 Legacy Luncheon \nCommunity Assistance Center of Montgomery County is thrilled to announce the 2024 Legacy Luncheon benefiting Community Assistance Center\, to be held on April 19\, 2024 at Margaritaville Lake Conroe Resort. Mimosas and Silent Auction begin at 10:30 a.m. and the event will conclude at 1:00 p.m. The Luncheon serves as a platform to honor individuals\, businesses and faith partners in Montgomery County that have committed their time\, hearts\, resources and talents to serve others in a variety of capacities. \n\nThis year we welcome Janine Stange. Janine Stange is a motivational speaker\, singer\, and on-air personality. She is best known for her historic journey to sing the Star-Spangled Banner in all 50 states – a mission she embarked on to honor our brave. Her story is the subject of “National Anthem Girl” a documentary by Kelly’s Filmworks now streaming on Amazon Prime. Using her signature wit and wisdom\, Janine Stange motivates people to give back and identify ways to make personal change. \n \nProceeds from this special event support Community Assistance Center (CAC) programs and services that provide immediate basic needs\, financial assistance and case management services to residents all across Montgomery County. CAC’s programs are funded by companies and individuals just like you who understand the financial commitment required to provide our neighbors and community the supportive services necessary to thrive. \nYour generous support\, has a direct impact on the lives of our neighbors and the health of our community as a whole. \nJoin us in strengthening Montgomery County one neighbor at a time.
