SUMMARY:CAC's Annual Back to School Drive
DESCRIPTION:Summer break may have just started but we’re already preparing for our annual Back-to-School Distribution\, which supports over 400 students with the essentials they need to start the year strong. Every year\, we strive to provide each child with a backpack filled with school supplies\, new sock &\, underwear\, shoes\, full-size hygiene items (locker kits)\, and snacks for the first week of school. \nA donation of $1\,000 can provide: \n\nLocker kits (shampoo\, deodorant\, body wash\, toothpaste\, and a toothbrush) for 100 students\, or\n50 backpacks filled with school supplies\, or\n5 pair of underwear and socks for 50 students\n\nEvery backpack filled\, every pair of new shoes distributed\, eases the burden on a family and helps a child walk into their first day of school feeling confident and prepared. \nIf you’re interested in contributing or have any questions\, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly. Rather host your own donation drive instead? Fantastic! Reach out to Renee at renee@cac-mctx.org or 936-494-4414 and she will help with all the details!! \nGetting Montgomery County kids ready for school is as easy as the A’s\, B’s and C’s! \nAcademic All-Star – $5\,000  Provide backpacks\, supplies\, locker kits\, socks and underwear for 100 students \nBackpack Buddy – $1\,000 Provide backpacks\, supplies\, locker kits\, socks and underwear for 20 students \nChampion Cheerleader – $50 Supply a student with all the essentials for a great start to the school year
